Simply Giving
Simply Giving is a program that enables people to transfer funds electronically. Many of us use electronic funds transfers (EFT) to meet regular commitments such as mortgage, insurance and utility payments. Simply Giving extends the use of EFT to individuals wishing to make contributions to Mount Calvary electronically. Currently we have over 80 families that use this program, and by our members' testimonials listed below, you can tell they like it.
With the Simply giving program, funds can only be withdrawn with your authorization. You can specify whether you want your contributions made weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly. Your contribution is made on a pre-established day so that you can record it for your checking or savings records. Mount Calvary will continue to provide you with a statement of your offerngs to facilitate record keeping. If you are interested in enrolling in the Simply Giving program, complete the form (available under quick links to your right), and turn it in to the chruch office and or to the welcome desk attendant. If you have any questions, contact NaDyne Glidden at 651-454-2344 or by email. You will find this an easy way to have your own personal stewardship plan implemented, and you will help Mount Calvary continue to fulfill her ministries.
Members' Testimonials
Simply giving is something my husband and I have been doing
for over ten years. We had been using this program in our prior church
and were
delighted that Mount Calvary also offered this opportunity.
With a young working family we are often on the go and it takes a lot
to
get organized
and out the door. Knowing that we are giving consistently is one less
thing we have to worry about in the morning and when we are traveling
away from home.
Sure, it was awkward the first time the plate was
passed and we did not put anything in it. We thought everyone would be
watching and give us a disapproving look,
but as we found out they really don't and we know that we are giving
consistently and that is what counts.
We also started a family tradition of throwing our extra cash in the
offering plate on Sundays (when we have a little extra).
It's our way of giving back so much of what we have already received!

We've known about the Simply Giving program for some time,
but since we are creatures of habit, we just didn't think there was any
reason to change.
However, the fact is that using Simply Giving saves the church time and
money spent on envelopes and postage and also save the counters' time.
With this program our church can depend on a fixed amount of offering
each month and can plan accordingly.
Simply Giving has been easier for us because we no longer need to make
out a check and sign it, (yes Lynne forgot to sign a check recently)
or remember to use our envelopes. If we miss a Sunday, we know that
Mount Calvary is still receiving the offering we have promised. We
think Simply Giving is really the simplest way of giving our gifts to
our Lord.

I would like to encourage everyone to consider the option of
Simply Giving.
I signed up when I joined Mount Calvary as part of my commitment.
I will admit to being a little self consious at the start as thinking
others may have noticed that I was a new member but not contributing to
the offering - didn't last long always knew that the ones who counted
were not concerned.
I consider Simply Giving one of my better decisions for several reason:
1) It is a budget issue that I find myself putting more time and
thought into the decision - also when my salary is increased so can my
giving.
2) I travel with my company and never need to worry about getting
behind on my commitment.
Thanks for making it an option at Mount Calvary.
