  • Tom Jenkins  - Lead Pastor     

    Hello and Welcome to Mount Calvary. I joined the staff of Mount Calvary in May 2013 to serve as the Lead Pastor of this worshiping community. I studied history and political science at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville and studied theology at Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa. I love sharing in the highs and lows of life together in Christian community and feel so fortunate to call this community home. I look forward to working together with you.

    When I am not engaged in pastoral ministry, I spend the great majority of my time with my family. Stacey and I are busy raising three children. Together, we love to spend time traveling, experiencing new things, and playing outside as often as possible. Yellowstone, Glacier, and the Boundary Waters have refreshed us and make us yearn for more!

  • Deb Kielsmeier - Interim associate pastor

    I live with my husband, Jim, in Falcon Heights with our dog Lexie. We have three grown daughters, two son-in-laws, and six grandkids. I was ordained in 1998 after graduating from Luther Seminary and recently completed a Doctor of Ministry at Fuller Seminary. I have served in a variety of congregations as an associate and interim pastor. Prior to attending seminary, I served as a youth pastor, including time in Kenya with Young Life International. I am passionate about the gospel, love to preach, teach and encourage others in their journey of faith. In my spare time, you can find me quilting or crafting, gardening, traveling or hanging out with my family and friends. 


Administrative & Ministry Staff

  • Pam Carlson - deacon/Cantor

    I head Mount Calvary's music department and began my work in the music ministry at Mount Calvary in the fall of 1986. I received my B.A. degree from Augsburg College and my M.A. in Worship from Luther Seminary in 1991. I am an Associate in Ministry with the ELCA and have studied organ with Stephen Gabrielson, Howard Don Small, Dean Billmeyer and John Ferguson. As Cantor, my responsibilities include worship planning, directing the sanctuary, youth, and alleluia choirs, leading God's Children Sing, and overseeing the directors of the children's choirs and the handbell choirs for both adults and youth. Outside of work, I love biking to work, hiking and skiing in Lebanon, reading, and generally being outdoors in my jungle of a yard. My husband, Phil, and I enjoy spending time with our children and grandchildren.


  • NaDyne Glidden  - Administrator

    I joined the staff at Mount Calvary in 1996 as the Business Administrator. I received my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of North Dakota in business and communications. Prior to working at Mount Calvary, I worked 12 years in the for-profit business world in the areas of finance, sales and marketing, business development, process improvement and human resources. At Mount Calvary my primary areas of responsibility are finance, facilities, office management, human resources, planning and supervision.

    My husband and I love to travel and spend time at our cabin with family and friends. I also enjoy reading, yoga, hiking and spending time with our dogs, Bentley and Jack.


  • Brian hornbecker - Faith Formation/Communications Coordinator

    As Faith Formation and Communication Coordinator, I am excited about helping people of all ages here at Mount Calvary explore and strengthen their faith and about sharing information about our congregation and its ministry. I am a graduate of Wartburg Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa, having completed my degree there after a fifteen-year career in budgeting, strategy and human resources in the federal government. I grew up in western Maryland and have spent most of my life in the Washington, DC Metro area. I transplanted myself to the Midwest a few years ago and am still exploring and learning about my new home. I just married my husband Josh in June, and we moved into a townhouse right here in Eagan.


  • Deb Jones-Thompson - Administrative Assistant

    As the Administrative Assistant at Mount Calvary I assist with the bulletin and the informational insert that we put with the bulletin each week, as well as other office related projects. I started this position in May of 2017 and thoroughly enjoy working with the staff and meeting the members as they stop in to church for various reasons. I previously had a 40 year career in mortgage banking and now enjoy a three-day work week and more time to spend with my husband. We live in Eagan and enjoy the many parks and walking paths that are available to all of us.
