The Open Door Food Pantry

In 2005, Mount Calvary began what is now known as The Open Door as the Eagan Resource Center in the church parsonage as a food shelf and referral resource center. What started as a service to 38 families has quickly become over 450 families and the largest food shelf in Dakota County. In 2009, the Eagan Resource Center became its own legal, non-profit entity. While still located in the parsonage, the ERC partnered with volunteers, faith communities, schools, organizations and businesses to support those in need and to eliminate hunger in Dakota County. In 2011, the resource center expanded to serve the Lakeville community and was renamed the Eagan Lakeville Resource Centers. In March of 2014, the Eagan Resource Center was renamed to The Open Door and continues to provide valuable services to the surrounding communities. Give to The Open Door

Thank you for considering a donation to grow the impact of the mission of The Open Door—a fresh approach to ending local hunger through access to healthy food.

Your financial gift—whether one time or ongoing—helps to fill The Open Door’s pantry shelves with healthy, wholesome foods. The Open Door is the first call for food insecure people: the unemployed, people experiencing homelessness, seniors on a fixed-income, and low-income families with young children—all in need of healthy food support.

You may choose to give once or schedule a recurring gift by making a donation.
