What is a Columbarium?
A columbarium is essentially a cemetery for cremated remains of loved ones. Mount Calvary is partnering with Saint John’s Cemetery to provide columbarium option for your loved one.
The Saint Johns Columbarium has 250 double niches, each holding two urns. After burial, the name of the loved one is inscribed on the marble marker for the specific niche.
This serene space in the Lower Narthex offers a final resting place that is not only beautiful but also deeply rooted in the care and love of our church family.

History of the Saint Johns Cemetery
Saint Johns Cemetery was part of the Saint Johns Lutheran Church in Rosemount.
The Columbarium was created in 2026 with 250 niches. Let’s talk more about how nice the columbarium is and what makes it the right columbarium for them to place their loved ones ashes here.
The Columbarium is more than just a resting place; it’s a tranquil haven where memories are cherished and legacies are honored. The beauty and peace of this sacrid space reflect the love we share as a community.

Acquire a nicheIf you are interested in purchasing a niche, the first step is to schedule a visit to the columbarium and select your niche. Columbarium pricing varies row by row. It begins at $2,300 and goes up to $2,600. Each niche price includes two urns and engraving.
When someone purchases a double niche, the funds are held in escrow for the burial and care of the remains in perpetuity.
